Ancient Deities Dossier™ examines the powers humanity worshipped, feared, debated, and remembered—from temple traditions and sacred texts to demons, spirits, heroes, and the mythic imagination.
The Dossier Method
Each dossier follows a figure through primary traditions, later retellings, religious interpretation, art, and popular culture. Similar names are not automatically treated as identical beings, and later demonization is distinguished from a figure’s earliest documented role.
Ancient Deities Dossier™ is educational media. It does not promote a religion, claim supernatural certainty, or replace qualified historical, archaeological, linguistic, or theological scholarship.
Next Long-Form Investigation
From Astarte to the grimoires: how a goddess-name entered Western demonology.
The forthcoming episode separates ancient Near Eastern goddess traditions from the later masculine demon described in European ceremonial literature. The transformation is the story: language, polemic, manuscript transmission, and the power of renaming.
